TIOLI April 3, 2024
TIOLI - Take It or Leave IT. The Minnesota Vikings are in an enviable
position ... but only if they play their cards right.
Every team in the 2024 NFL's top five draft order would benefit from moving out
in favor of multiple draft picks, especially the Patriots. Problem is that
what they are expecting is to be blown off their pedestal with a lavish array of
favorable picks, but that is just not going to happen. Why? Because
if for example the Patriots pick one of the top three quarterbacks in this years
draft, it will eccentrically be a wasted pick. In other words, they
clearly know that they need to build their roster first & foremost &
submit to the highest bidder. What good is there in destroying any player
without the pieces to support him. That is the reality and the Patriots
will clearly succumb to this highest bidder. Also, if you know history,
just because a player is selected, that doesn't mean that player will agree to
play for that franchise. There have been numerous cases of this
dilemma. Eli Manning, even though he was selected by the Chargers, refused
to play for that organization where he was soon traded beneficially to the
Giants. Both parties ended up with great value.
Both the Cardinals & the Chargers are expecting the Patriots to select a
quarterback, which they will do, but that doesn't mean that he will sign with
them. The same can be said, if the Giants move out of pick 6 for pick 3
laying out lavish compensation in return. In other words, any particular
quarterbacks final destination may not come until pick 11 in the draft, when the
Vikings are on the clock. Although it may appear that all the top four
quarterbacks will be off the board by pick 11, that may not really be the
case. Why? Well lets just say that it's about who will be available
at pick 11 ... Let's just call it a mutual "Building-Swap". In
other words, I don't expect it to have anything to do with any sort of artificial
numbering system. It's about selecting a blue chip player that is of keen
interest toward building a franchise.
Based upon some sort of artificial numbering system, to get the Patriots number 3
selection, the Vikings are expected to give up three (3) number 1 picks however
that will all go out the window in 2024 because this years draft is
skewed. When have you ever seen four(4) quarterbacks selected in the top
five (5) picks & what would that leave on the table. Now consider on
average that two (2) of the four (4) will become long term starters. What
that means is opportunity however the key will be in waiting ... in holding your
hand, if you will.
The Minnesota Vikings cache of picks is meaningless to any specific 2024 draft
pick as the quarterback that you've targeted may not be available at that specific
selection so it does not make sense to gamble with your cache. Instead,
your focus should be on working "The Deal", as "The Match"
does not fit their plan. Know
one will know your true target but be prepared to select a Blue Chip player at
pick 11, that just might fit an entirely different plan. Keep in mind,
with "Money Ball" on deck, it's not what may be on the clock but
instead ... what's going on behind that clock. In other words, a whole new
world of NFL drama. No one sits pat when opportunity knocks on your door.
Sometimes is takes a set of brass marbles to TIOLI but when you see that grave
& obvious error set before you ... all those arbitrary numbers become
meaningless ... in favor of getting back on track. One might call it a
bargain, other might consider it brilliant moves by both parties that provides
long term security by making savvy decisions.
Without saying a word, your target will do it all on his own, because he'll do
anything to secure his destiny rather than being the next quarterback to be
heaped onto a destructive pile of obscurity. Either you say something or
your the next reincarnation of Panthers 2023.
