Sandwiched - Cold Hard Assertions
January 8, 2022
A sandwich implies two
pieces of bread with a piece of meat in the center with condiments, etc. however
in this instance it is referring to a triangulation of incompetence surrounding
an entity which in this case is our Head Coach Mike Zimmer. The metaphor
of course is, "Was Mike Zimmer sandwiched around a complete triangle of
Incompetence?"
So what spurned this question, well it is the fact that the easiest thing to do
in the NFL is to fire the head coach. which is the most destructive move any
owner can make in that it allows the players the opportunity to survive their
incompetence, & outright blatant insubordination ... as if any other new
face would ever have a chance to succeed. In other words, the length of
players contracts dictates the movement within the franchise & what is
indicated on that field where it is much harder to have players redirect under
that umbrella.
So how do I know that firing Mike Zimmer is the worst imaginable move on the
planet ... well that's easy ... its because Zulgad thinks it's a good idea all
the while he espouses, "Once before he dies!". Don't you think
that it's odd that his program promotes a product that can provide "hard
drinking" for the decisions that these idiots espouse?
It begins with a question, was Mike Zimmer incorrect in regard to Xavier Rhodes,
Mike Hughes, Trae Waynes, Jeff Gladney, Cameron Dantzler, Eric Kendrix, &
Anthony Barr or was it something out of his control. Firing Mike Zimmer
would put us back another decade, and Zulgad knows that, but that's exactly what
he wants. You see words & a whole bunch of propaganda can make
all sorts of people do stupid things.
The first spoke of the wheel of in that sandwich of incompetence is Rob
Brzezinki. Although it is without questions that he's a master of
masterminding the cap he's 100% incompetent is that he overpays for absolutely
everything which thereby limits the resources that could be used to either keep
our own talent (Trae Waynes amongst others) or to secure long term solutions for
this franchise. What is requires is a facilitator that would be placed
between NFL agents & Brzezinski where that persons role is to negotiate
deals with absolutely no authority whatsoever. Someone that can negotiate
by saying, "I CARE, but not that much (in regard to contract demands or
negotiations)!" A product manager has vertical movement throughout an
organization, working one minute with the VP of Manufacturing, then to VP of
Engineering, to cussing on the shop floor, to interfacing with planning.
In no instance can that manager insert authority over any one but he can
negotiate everything within the operation making the environment efficient.
Do not fire Rob.
Kirk Cousins is the second spoke in that sandwich triangle. Of course he
has the statistics to prove that he's worth keeping around because that is his
primary focus. Do you think for one moment he could stand amongst his
defense with the hopes of any defensive player stating that what he did, did the
very best to help them get their job done? Kirk has an impressive record
against the mediocre, & below, but suffers greatly versus the elites.
Kirk Cousins will never perform where he's allowed to continue to proliferate
when it doesn't matter. After Kirk's latest 2021 campaign he should be
traded in favor of someone that cannot be manipulated by anyone & has the
heart to win first & foremost. Kirk was given the opportunity to try
& wake up as he definitely had the pieces around him but he lacked the
ability to provide that win at all cost leadership. Do you think he was
uniformly loved by the entire locker room or do you think he just didn't
care?
Rick Spielman is the third spoke of incompetence in that sandwich triangle. Rick
possessed one very important trait in that he was not afraid or unwilling to
deal to get the most out of the top 200 players in every draft year however he
was ultimately responsible for what resulted. The result borderlines
treason as the key missing pieces (top draft picks) is the reason why there is
no dynasty is Minnesota. Also, in his position, he's responsible for
finding that franchise quarterback & it must be a Viking product (Fran
Tarkenton, Daunte Culpepper, Tommy Kramer) & he's clearly incapable of
achieving this. From 2006 (Player Personnel) he's responsible for Tavaris
Jackson, Tyrell Johnson, Phil Loadholt, Chris Cook, Toby Gerhart, CHRISTIAN
PONDER, Matt Kalil, Josh Robinson, Sharrif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes, Cordarrelle
Patterson, TEDDY BRIDGEWATER, Trae Waynes, Laquon Treadwell, Mackensie
Alexander, Pat Elflein, Mike Hughes, Garrett Bradbury, Irv Smith Jr, Jeff
Gladney, Kellen Mond, & Wyatt Davis. Now to be clear, in that time
frame he's also hit on several players like Danielle Hunter (missed most of the
last two years) what is clear is that we cannot compete with so many missing
potential pieces. Just imagine this franchise with a significant hit on
just half of the missing #1 round picks & you can understand the
dilemma. Rick has to pay for these blunders ... as of course ... the buck
stops here!
No, Mike Zimmer doesn't deserved to be fired. Unless your offering him a
"Bud Grant-like" office & an official retirement with the
understanding that he could be called back, just like his predecessor ... then
you'd be making a huge error. It is never about doing what is easy its
about establishing & retaining continuity. The funny thing about
Antonio Brown is that he has no credibility whatsoever however that doesn't
meant that he's not absolutely correct. Mike Zimmer is brilliant but is
the product of a complete disconnect. If the players are redirected that
they cannot get away with treason & must play with a straight deck ... they
players will fall back in line. They do not lack a leader, they lack
continuity that is spawn by incompetence & a whole lot of propaganda.
An owner & his brother can do whatever they want & they don't have to
relent to propaganda that is designed to blow up their franchise however they
must be strong in their resolve. There is no doubt they are very close
& another 10 years plan just doesn't make sense. Do do what everybody
else does. It is just that simple.
As for Klint Kubiak, his first year was rough but he's going to be better than
his old man. The only question is, do you have the wherewithal to make it
so.
Mike Zimmer, as the head
coach, must fire Adam Zimmer immediately & find his replacement. as
his father, he gave Adam the opportunity however he must now find his own way so
that everything going forward will be his accomplishment & his alone.
Nature provides us the blue print where Adam must become the fledgling where his
determination either finds its way ... or he finds another. There can be
no further attempt to do anything but lead this franchise as its head
coach.
Is this the correct path? Tell me, is this the most difficult thing to
do? If it is, then it must be the right path because you cannot talk about
the ambiance of the restaurant when your job is to critique the
food.
